John Ohannesian January 12

Took me a bit longer than expected to get these posted. My bones are moving slower than ever before.

The show was mindmelting. The lighting doesn't do the paintings justice but you get a good idea of how expertly crafted these works are. You can see much sharper images with correct lighting at John Ohannesian's site http://www.paintoon.com/.

ONSG is revving up for a couple shows in February featuring new work by Rene Farkass from Denver CO on Feb 2 and Tim Lowery's 'Bottled Dreams, Bright Ideas' Feb 9, both 6pm-9pm.

ONSG will be hosting it's first music video shoot for the Seattle band The Torn ACLs.

Tim Basaraba aka Tbasa unveiled his 'United Signs of the Apocalypse' show Friday 12/21 at the historic One Night Stand Gallery in Georgetown WA.

This series of 172 4 panel comic strips was started July 1st. Tim made a new strip daily using stories from daily news headlines. Each panel was penciled, inked and then posted using Facebook. Some panels were enhanced with color post-inking strictly for viewing electronically.

A forthcoming book with the entire series is in the works and Tbasa will be starting an ambitious new storyline January 1, 2013.

One Night Stand Gallery has been alive and kickin' now since June 2012. In order to keep it going I'm having a 'fire sale'. 100s of paintings and pen and ink illustrations by me, Michael O'Driscoll, are up for sale. Nothing more than $100. If you ever wanted to get a piece of my art now is the best time to do it. The show will be up for two nights this week Friday Nov. 23 and Saturday Nov. 24 from 5pm to 9pm each day.

Tons of re-claimed and modified found art, pages from old sketchbooks as well as 100% original stuff is up for grabs. Lucky you!
